If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be an immigrant trying to start over in a new country—minus the paperwork and actual life-altering consequences—this game is for you.

Unsettled is a fast-paced, strategy-packed card game where players race to hit major milestones like landing a job, finding housing, and finally achieving their dreams. Sounds wholesome, right? Except this isn't a feel-good montage. This is survival.
Along the way, you'll face obstacles that feel a little too real: your opponents will throw ICE raids, detainments, deportations, delays, and a healthy dose of bad luck straight at your goals. It’s sabotage meets survival, with a side of deeply relatable frustration.
The Premise
Each player takes on the role of a new immigrant fighting to get their life on track in a system that wasn’t exactly built to help. As you claw your way toward stability, your fellow players are just as desperate—and not above taking you down with them.
It’s fast. It’s brutal. It’s rooted in reality.
Why We Made This
We’re an international couple who bonded over our love of games, travel, and shared stories of navigating life in unfamiliar places. This game is our way of venting some of that real-world frustration and turning it into something fun, cathartic, and—hopefully—eye-opening.
Too often, immigrants are turned into political talking points or reduced to stereotypes. We wanted to flip that script, creating a game that’s not only fun to play but also sparks conversation. Because behind every visa rejection, delay, or setback is just a person trying to live their life.
So, Is It Fun?
Oh yeah. Just... in a slightly stressful way. You'll laugh, you’ll scheme, you might yell at your loved ones—but you’ll come out the other side with a fresh appreciation for just how wild the immigration journey can be.
Unsettled isn’t just a game. It’s a little slice of real life—with fewer tears and more chances to sabotage your friends.
