Stuff that I'm currently working on...

2026

My current hand embroidery collection. I work on these whenever I have a bit of down time and no access to my other supplies. This series started back in the summer of '25 and is slowly but surely expanding

The latest unnamed piece is inspired by petrified wood

A sneak peek at my next project, a series of small quilts called Dog Days. They’re inspired by our year living outside and my slow descent into cynicism as a kind of positive philosophy

A little life update for most of you, since I’ve been hibernating all winter and keeping to myself, as usual.

I’ve been living in Tacoma and working at a local sewing store, focusing on developing my skills and really diving into fabric arts. With the graphic design field feeling increasingly shaped by AI, I’ve been craving something more hands-on and tangible. Lately I’ve been teaching myself to quilt and sew my own garments, and that’s my goal for this year: to keep learning and creating. Here are some of my latest projects...

My first real garment!

I started with a pattern from Thready Bear and improvised from there. I lined it with an old blanket so it’s incredibly warm and soft.

The back features one of my original illustrations, screen printed by hand with water based ink. The rest is made from random fat quarters and original machine embroidered squares.

I’ve also started designing and teaching project classes at work. They’re quick, simple sewing projects with fully illustrated instructions. Give one a try yourself!

Another store sample where I got to familiarize myself with several serger techniques

It was very helpful making this toddler jacket for work before making my full-sized one. This pattern is available here

My first real completed quilt! Started out trying to find a way to frame my large embroidered works, but ended up here... Read more about this project!
