This piece is a hand-stitched interpretation of the Paleolithic Venus of Willendorf. Using thread painting techniques, the work emphasizes texture and form, with French knots on the head adding a sculptural quality. A blackwork background provides contrast and depth. I created this piece in the summer of '25 while rethinking my approach to art making in the era of AI. I wanted to stitch out something tactile, tangible and timeless.
